The Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts got started over the three day weekend. This Thursday the famed Pageant of the Masters opens. The theme this year is "Only Make Believe" and promises to be a passport into a world of superheros and mythical creatures.
From the mythological legends of ancient Greece to evocations of classic stories of buried treasure, spooky encounters and the simple pleasures of playing dress-up, the 2011 Pageant promises no shortage of fantasy fun for the entire family.
The two-act production is directed by Diane Challis Davy, who has been directing the Pageant for 16 years. Challis Davy has also enlisted the help of scriptwriter Dan Duling, as well as an ensemble of volunteer cast members and stage crews.
