The city of Costa Mesa might seem like a quiet suburb, but even before it was incorporated, the city was well on its way to becoming a cultural hub in the center of Orange County. During the holiday season, the area, also known as South Coast Metro, comes alive with shoppers at the South Coast Plaza and theater goers at attending dozens of events at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
The other big Costa Mesa attraction is the O.C. Fair & Event Center, the home of the beloved O.C. Fair. In addition to the Fair, the "O.C. Fairgrounds" host a variety of events throughout the year, included a weekly swap meet and several holiday craft fairs.
