Surf’s Up for Down Syndrome
When: Feb 3Where: Downtown Huntington Beach
The International Surfing Museum joins Team Up For Down Syndrome for this event featuring surf activities for youths with Down Syndrome. There will also be a silent auction, a live auction a cocktail hour and dinner, followed by a live musical performance.
Rotary CARE Car Show
When: Feb 4Where: San Juan Capistrano Community Center This charity car show, in it’s ninth year, features food, music, local vendors and vintage cars. The event is also the final stop for the Dr. Joseph Cortese Memorial Mortorcycle Poker Run, which begins at Orange County Harley Davidson in Irvine. Admission is $40 after January 27 and early registration is recommended.
Surf City Marathon
When: Feb 5Where: PCH/Huntington St This marathon and half-marathon event is the first in the Beach Cities Challenge series. The race course starts westbound on PCH in front of the Waterfront Hilton Hotel in Huntington Beach, north on Seapoint and through Huntington Beach Central Park, back south to the beachfront path at Bolsa Chica State Beach, and ends just north of the start. There is also live entertainment along the course and at the Michalebe Ultra beer garden. Spaces for the half-marathon are completely sold out. However, there are a few more charity marathon spaces with proceeds benefiting the Free Wheelchair Mission. See the website for additional details.

Gem Fair
When: Feb 24 - 26Where: O.C. Fair & Event Center
The Gem Faire comes to Costa Mesa for three days of beads, gems, fine jewelry, jewelry sizing and cleaning. Hours are Friday noon to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $7 for a weekend pass; children 12 and under admitted for free.
Scapbook Expo

Scrapbooking enthusiasts are invited to this event featuring all things scrapbooking. From paper goods and other scrapbooking supplies to workshops and social scrapbooking activities. Run the Path Marathon

Orange County Restaurant Week

The top 100 restaurants in of Orange County’s feature prix fixe menus during this week-long foodie event. Restaurant week kicks off with an exclusive launch party at Newport Beach Lexus, where guests will be treated to wine tastings from 20 Temecula Wineries. Other special events include Dinner and a Show in partnership with the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and a special restaurant gift-card giveaway worth more than $600.
