For many Easter has become a symbolic day to celebrate the arrival of Spring. From pancake breakfasts, Easter egg hunts and Spring festivals, here’s a guide to Easter events and activities throughout Orange County. Most of these events take place on Saturday, April 7, unless otherwise stated. Be sure to check local listings, event websites or call event organizers to confirm dates and times.

Easter Eggstavaganza

Hunt for eggs, ride the trains, meet the easter bunny, go on hayrides and more at the Irvine Park Railroad in Irvine. This event runs every day starting March 17 - April 7, starting at 10:00 a.m. Activity tickets can be purchased at the park. The Easter Egg Hunt is expected to sell out, so early arrival is advised. Bunny Blast

Celebrate Easter at the Chapparosa Park in Laguna Niguel at this event featuring face painting, a bounce house, a petting zoo, live entertainment and other fun activities. Spring Family Eggstraviganza

Rabbit Run

Participate in a running Easter egg hunt for a unique twist on a favored Easter tradition. Individuals and families alike are invited to run, walk or bike the 3.1 mile course at the Orange County Great Park on a search for colorful eggs filled with surprises. Etnies Skatepark Egg Hunt

The Etnies skatepark in Lake Forest hosts this Easter egg hunt featuring a skateboarding bunny, jump houses and fun craft activities. During this event, the park will be closed for riding and eggs will be hidden throughout the park. The Skatepark Egg Hunt takes place on March 31 and a $5 donation is requested upon admission. San Clamente Community Brunch

The Families Assistance Ministries and the city of San Clamente host this brunch for local families in need. Spring Celebration & Pancake Breakfast

The city of Aliso Viejo hosts this annual pancake breakfast and celebration of Spring at the Grand Park Town Center. In addition to breakfast, the event includes an Easter egg hunt, bounce houses, face painting, balloon twisters, craft activities and more.
