The Mesa Trail winds between the dry and barren Lower Mesa to the east, and the Bosla Outer Bay to the west. The trail leads to Mesa Point where it splits off and provides access to the Pocket Loop Trail, the tidal gates and the Inner Bay Loop Trail, and the Flood Control Channel.
